Great is the Lord Almighty!

There is a song at church that we sing on a rare occasion with those words in the chorus.  I like to hum that on occasion because it reminds me of the greatness of God and how He is Lord of our lives and God of the universe. 

Do you ever have any trouble wondering why the Lord of the universe cares about your day?  Do you ever think to yourself, “Lord, why do you care if I have a cold when there are orphans in Africa who don't have a home?” 

I must confess to you that on an occasion or two I have pondered those questions in my heart.  I've wondered why God cares about me when there are so many other people in the world who need His attention.  The response: Great is the Lord Almighty—He is Lord He is God indeed.  I can virtually answer the question with the same words.  He cares of our comings and goings—our ins and outs. 

Our needs and wants and desires.  He cares and desires for us to be strong in our relationship with Him.  Never swaying to the left or to the right, but striving to stay on the Highway of Holiness which is right into His arms.  He is Lord of all.  He is the Lord of music, the Lord of dance, the Lord of the earth and sky.  He created YOU perfectly and wonderfully.  Take some time today to talk to God and ask Him about yourself. 

Ask Him what He needs you to do this day to bring glory to Him.  Ask Him if there is anything else you need to be doing to fulfill the call and the destiny on your life.  Ask Him for answers. 

As Joyce Meyer said once...Run to the throne, not the phone.  Be quick to ask and He will answer.  He is the Lord of all and He cares about You!  Why, I'm not sure, but I do know that He cares and wants you to fall more in love with Him daily.
