What's New?

Hi Friends,   I let my creative juices flow as I put together this month's inspiration.  It looks a little like a newsletter, but I promise this is the devotional.  Have you recently been asked, “what's new?”  Is your response usually something like, “nothing much, you?”  Well, I am currently reading a book called Daring to Live on the Edge, by Loren Cunningham. I think it is beginning to change my entire way of thinking about life, God, and of course, the F word-- FINANCES!

As most of you know, the Lord called me away from my very secure 40 hour/week position and called me to rely on Him fully and go into FULL-TIME ministry.  That is, helping church reach their fullest potential in worship.  That includes musicianship, writing, reading, singing, creativity, energy, and many other aspects.  To these churches, this is very new.  It's so new that they may go into it with fear and trembling, but they take a dive and are daring to live on the edge.  They are daring to take a step into the unknown world of contemporary music.  For a church that has historically for 200 years been traditional, this is a HUGE step.  They know they want it, but when it comes down to doing it, that's a little more than they bargained for.  Isn't that kind of how we lead our lives?  It sounds good until it's time to step in and man oh man, are we sure?

In my little book I'm reading, I hear story after story, testimony after testimony of how God's never ending love comes forth and shines and provides all that is needed.  It's a book of increasing faith.  It's a true testimony of God's goodness and grace.

Lord, you are good and your faithfulness endures forever.
So, are you willing to walk on the edge?  Are you willing to, like these churches I work with, step out in faith and bless others?  Are you desirous of God's work in your life?  I know that God is going to do a wonderful work in the life of this church I am currently working with.  I trust that God will do a miraculous work in your life if you do what He is asking.  For some, He is asking you to give.  For others, He is asking you to receive.  Regardless, don't be fearful of what God is asking of you.  He knows your heart.  He knows you.  He created you.  He loves you and only wants the best for you.

So, what are you waiting for?  Do you hear God's voice telling you to do something?  Go do it.  Please email us and share the fruit of your testimonies. (ashley@soaringministries.com) Just like He told me to go into full-time ministry or give someone money, He is asking you to do something.  It's new, it's exciting, it's innovative.

It's like living on the edge.
Trust Him—He won't let you fall.  He's there every step of the way.
Take a step of faith that He's asking of you and He will Honor it!

Blessings all over you!

ASHLEY

They that wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles!
